30 Drawers in 30 Days – 7th November

6 December 2012 1,105 views 7 Comments

Now we’re getting into the juicy stuff! Today’s drawer is where I keep my Wet & Wild and Cutex! I have some REALLY old and interesting stuff in these drawers – even some shades I’d forgotten I owned! This drawer is packed to the brim so I really have no idea what I’m going to do if I ever get any more of these (and let’s face it, I know I will!). I’m really thinking it might be time to rethink this self imposed six helmer limit!

But enough of that, here’s what I have dug out for you today!

YEAR: Unknown
AVAILABILITY: HTF

I’m pretty sure that this colour is a bang on dupe for Fantasy Makers Emerald Green and Wet & Wild 405A, but it’s so gorgeous that I don’t mind owning three bottles of it. Formula is a little thin, but patience has a big payoff with this glowing golden green. I don’t even know if they still make Artmatic polishes!

YEAR: Unknown
AVAILABILITY: HTF

I remember when these babies were everywhere five or six years ago. Now finding original Colorama polishes, especially cool ones like Steel Wheeling is getting difficult. Steel Wheeling is a warm silver foil (Pewter?) with holographic flecks. I remember it being somewhat less sheer when I bought it so maybe it’s changed a little with age? I don’t know. It’s still pretty though!

YEAR: Unknown
AVAILABILITY: Easy to Find

This is one of the most GORGEOUS reds I own. I can’t believe I went so long without realising the simple beauty of a classic red creme. It’s beautiful and classy and I find myself reaching for this one quite a bit. Last I checked, Covergirl Boundless Color shades are still pretty easy to find on eBay and this is definitely one you should all add to your wishlist!

34. Wet & Wild Black Ice
YEAR: Unknown
AVAILABILITY: Somewhat HTF but occasionally shows up on eBay

I picked this one from all my Fantasy Makers shades because I think it’s one of the most interesting. To the naked eye, it looks like a blackened green, but the base colour is a reddish purple bruised looking colour. I’m pretty sure you can still pick this up if you’re patient and willing to look around!

35. Cutex Sweet Pea
YEAR: Unknown (Harvest Collection)
AVAILABILITY: HTF

I love this colour! Cutex were incredibly ahead of the times when they released this dirty green as part of their Harvest collection. A lot of the salon brands like China Glaze and OPI have only really been doing these kinds of colours in the last couple of years but this Cutex is a lot older than that. I have Huckleberry (blue) from Harvest but I would love to pick up the rest as well.

Another drawer down! Phew! That number is really rising!!
