30 Drawers in 30 Days – Day 10
By the Power of Grayskull, I will finish this damn series if it kills me. It’s been a while but today I’m picking up where we left off with my tenth helmer drawer, aka drawer four in Helmer number two. Today’s drawer contains my Milani, Orly and Misa polishes.

46. ORLY FLICKER
YEAR: 2012
AVAILABILITY: CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
I get a real nailboner for these sorts of rusty orange shades. I’ve probably got at least twenty of them but that didn’t stop me diving right on Orly Flicker when I spotted it at a trade show last year. It’s a dupe for OPI Deutsch You Want Me Baby? (which I want for that hilarious name) and is reminiscent of those awesome glowy warm shades that we saw in the China Glaze Retro Diva collection which I adore.

47. MILANI GLITZY STILETTO
YEAR: 2007
AVAILABILITY: DISCONTINUED
I have a modest sized Milani collection. While I like the brand, it’s very rare that they completely knock my socks off with a colour and I just have to have it. Glitzy Stiletto is an example of one of Milani’s more unique shades. Pretty and pink, it’s quite vibrant for a glass fleck and reminds me of a few China Glaze polishes that I own.

48. MISA NIGHT SKY
YEAR: 1995
AVAILABILITY: RARE
I’ve featured my super old and super rare Misa stash on my blog a few times now and I’m still not any less giddy when I look through them. I actually contacted Misa to authenticate and date the polishes and I can confirm that these are legitimate Misa from around 1995. Night Sky isn’t your usual dark blue jelly with silver glitter that we normally associate with the name, but rather a cool medium blue with golden shimmer. I think it’s gorgeous, and definitely different.

49. MISA INFATUATION
YEAR: 1995
AVAILABILITY: RARE
The second of my vintage Misa shades sure is aptly named because I’m definitely infatuated with this gorgeous golden olive green. More on the green side of the fence than most olive shades, Infatuation is a lot like Streetwear Toad, which I’m also madly in love with. If this description seems short it’s because… well… I don’t know what else to say besides I love it!

50. MISA DREAMY PURPLE
YEAR: PRE 2005
AVAILABILITY: CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM MISACOSMETICS.COM
Dreamy Purple was a huge lemming for me when I first started seriously collecting nail polish. It was still around in small quantities from its original release but rare enough that you had to look really hard for it. Blue based purples weren’t as easy to come by back then as they are now and finally snagging myself a bottle of Dreamy Purple felt like quite an achievement. Now, I believe Misa has reintroduced Dreamy Purple into their core line and you can purchase it directly from their website.
