Okay, who am I kidding. This is a HUGE announcement! Those of you that follow me on twitter may have noticed me alluding to some sort of secret project. Now that the t’s are crossed and the i’s dotted, I can finally FINALLY spill the beans. I gotta tell you… this has been SO HARD to keep secret!
Remember a few months back I wrote a post about realising how awesome you all are and reaching your potential? One of the things that I wanted to do was start my own nail polish line. AND GUESS WHAT?
My brainchild, my baby, the fruit of my figurative loins… Pretty Serious Cosmetics will be available within a couple of months! Can you tell how excited I am? It’s off the charts. I’m grinning as I type this.
My first collection, called Hello World, will consist of six nail polishes along with matching loose eyeshadows and lip glosses. We’re still in early stages right now and there is still so much to do but I just couldn’t hold this news in any longer.
As you can probably gather, each of my collections will be themed. The first collection urges you to embrace your inner old school geek! With shades like CGA, Forbidden Fruit, Morning Java and Tux, you’ll be adjusting those spectacles and fastening that pocket protector in no time.
Disclaimer: Pretty Serious Cosmetics accepts no liability for damages caused by hijinks ensuing from crazy college pranks. LAMBDA LAMBDA LAMDA!
While a few of my shades are still being reworked by my manufacturer, I do have a couple of them finalised. And I’m happy to give you a sneak peek, right now! Click the images for larger versions.
I’m delirously happy to unveil to you: BSOD (aka Blue Screen of Death)
A big thank you to Emma for being my hand model. (My nails are in seriously bad shape right now dudes!)
I’ll be selling Pretty Serious through an online store and am also in the process of sorting out a US distributor so that we can get around that pesky problem of the cost of US shipping from Australia. But more on that later, when we’re ready to launch.
Lastly, I want to thank the following people for being super supportive as I turned this idea from a pipe dream into a reality. I couldn’t have done this without your help, support and encouragement. Emma, My sister Melissa, Scrangie, Jacie, Dave, Alicia & most importantly my boyfriend Ben – THANK YOU! I also need to give an extra special thank you to my artist Leigh Young, who did an absolutely amazing job on my pinup girl artwork.
I hope you girls are ready to get your pretty on, because shit is about to get SERIOUS. 😀
