When I saw the promo ad for the first time, despite the amount of greenery I was a little on the "meh" side. I love neons, but I've bought so many neons lately that I didn't think I needed anymore.
WRONG.
These aren't just neons. Half of them (including all ze greens!) are SHIMMERS.
The shimmer colours are Entourage (green), Paper Chasing (green), Custom Kicks (green), Sky High-Top (blue), Fly (purple), Its Poppin' (pink).
Cremes are B-Girlz (pink), Laced Up (pink), Sneaker Head (pinky red), Oh How Street It Is (orange), Style Wars (orange), Breakin' (orange).
Now that I have seen swatches, I have to buy them. Once the new Essie's go up on any of the etailers, consider these ordered. Paper Chasing has me giggling like a school girl.
If you're curious, you can see swatches at All Lacquered Up.

I'm writing about this movie here because it definitely doesn't fit in over at my B-Movie sister site. Not a full review, merely a strategic prod to get you to go and experience this flick for yourselves.
I must say, this movie definitely deserves a second watch. Simply because I didn't give it the proper attention it deserved. I was *pinches fingers together* this close to finishing Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney (underwhelming. But thats another blog altogether), and it wasn't until about 30 minutes in that the DS took a backseat to the TV.
I didn't miss anything important, but I still feel like I should watch it again, simply because it was gorgeous and I loved it. It deserves nothing less than my full attention. But yes, the story.
Makoto is a normal enough teenage girl. A little tomboyish, yes. She sees no problem in spending her time hanging out with her two best guy friends Chiyoki and Kousuke playing baseball after school, and doesn't seem too concerned about what she is going to do with her life after graduation. But after what seems like a disastrous day at school where everything has gone wrong, she slips and falls on a strange walnut looking device in one of the labs. On her way home, Makoto avoids a fatal bike collision with a train, by somehow moving back a few minutes in time. After speaking with her aunt, who knows a bit about what she is experiencing, Makoto discovers she has the ability to leap through time and can move backwards and forwards at will.
At first, she uses her new found ability for silly, trivial things, like turning one hour of karaoke into ten, and going back in order to stop her younger sister eating the pudding she left in the fridge. She turns that disastrous day into a perfect one, but before long she realises that meddling with the way things should be might be great for her, but it causes a lot of suffering for others.
She starts using leaps to change back what she has changed, which seems to result in even more disasters and soon discovers a mark on her arm showing a number. Every time she leaps, that number drops by one. Soon she finds herself in the worst possible predicament. No leaps left, and one of her best friends life in danger. Something unexpected saves the day, but I'm not going to spoil that for you.
It's a very touching and powerful movie - if not due to the absolute normalcy of the characters involved. The dialogue was real and funny. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Also, I must warn everyone to make their own conclusions of the rather ambiguous ending. If you try and dwell on it too much, or read too much of what others thought after thinking about it too much, you'll miss the sweet and simple conclusion. Sometimes the best answers are the easiest ones.
I've been obsessed with all that is Gyakuten Saiban/Phoenix Wright for about a month now, and I'm about half way through Gyakuten Saiban 4/Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Gyuakuten Kenji is the next game in the series, although it has been made abundantly clear that this game is NOT a Gyakuten Saiban game and will play differently and contain no court scenes. It will however use a number of characters from Gyakuten Saiban, most notably Miles Edgeworth, the games protagonist - Phoenix Wright's Prosecutor rival.

Not much is known about the game at this stage, as Capcom have kept it on the hush hush. Many other previously known characters will appear in the game, such as Franziska Von Karma and Detective Gumshoe, but no word on Phoenix Wright as yet.
I'm so very very tempted by this, but hot damn that's a lot of moolah. I'll have to sleep on it. Trailer can be viewed below. English subbed for your understanding pleasure.

I actually got the new theme finished for Oldskoolgamers.org!!
I'll admit, although it was a labour of love, I did get a bit bored at the end. It took far too long to finish. Working with sprites is the bomb though, because they are just way too easy to edit. It seems to be received pretty well and I am proud of it, but it was a lot less work than the Zelda theme.

That being done though, I will be able to focus a little more on maintaining my movie site, and posting more crap in this blog. Yay for crap!
Hopefully I can work on a custom theme for this place this weekend. I need to add some new smilies too.
Back later yo
Edit. Looks like I'm working on it still nyahh
Kay...so this is my first blog post. Not entirely sure why I needed to express that this is my first post - if you're reading this (hi) you can plainly see that there is no entry below it. That and I haven't actually had time to create some form of functional blog layout - this is all stock standard stuff.
Unless you're reading this as an old post. In that case, marvel at the awesomeness that is my custom theme! And greetings from the past!
"So why the new blog? You don't even update your movie site?" Scream the masses. Well that's exactly the point of this blog. I'm an extremely random person, and I'm only capable of obsessing over one thing at a time. This blog will allow me to write profusely (insanely?) about whatever is eating my brain at this point in my life. This blog will explain why I haven't updated my site, contacted you, answered my phone, (showered?...I kid) in the last {insert amount of weeks/months here}. And that's usually because something else awesome has my complete attention.
That being said, this blog won't be for everyone. In fact I'm only writing it for one person. Me
. I'm not being a bitch or nothing, I do encourage you to read and comment though! Just don't be hurt if you think I'm super cool one day, and discover I'm a massive geek the next. My tastes are very eclectic! I've already resigned myself to the fact that no other person on the earth likes the exact same things as me, and I'm cool with that. But I still need to write about it!
I'm planning on registering a domain and tarting this bitch right up (pimpin my blog, yo), but me saying I'm going to do that, and then actually doing it are two completely different things. I was planning on starting this blog months ago, and had the bright idea of upgrading my b2evo software. That all went to shit when I destroyed my movie blog by accident. Aw fuck.
Oh, by the way. I swear. May as well get it out there.
But yes. I am lazy. Just as an example, right now I am supposed to be working (hey, at least I look busy), I have a Zetaboards theme to finish for the boyfriend (cause he no scripty scripty), I'm supposed to send emails to two people, money to another and a letter to another, Stinkomovies requires about a zillion new reviews and a March update and possibly a couple of blog entries...But you know what? I think I'm gonna play Phoenix Wright on my DS.
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!
Only time will tell if this is a new era in the world of blogging history, or something I will simply forget about by next week.
Stay tuned. Or not. Your choice.
