Oh Bloom. How much do I love thee. Why, oh why are you so expensive?
I'll tell you why. QUALITY. I have lots of nail polish. Many colours, many brands. And I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that other than my Versace's, I don't have any polishes with better formula than Bloom. They are better than my Chanels, better than my RBL's and far better than my OPI's.
Jessica Mauboy I was super pigmented (as are all my other Blooms) and quite honestly, a second coat was just a formality. I have complete nail coverage in one coat. It went on smooth and even, and as you can see, the colour is insanely beautiful.
Without any form of top coat, it was completely dried in less than ten minutes. Not even dentable. The only thing that puts Bloom a smidgeon below Versace in my book is the fact that the shimmer dulled noticeably without a top coat, but a quick brush over with my In A Snap and she was sparkling like mad again.

There's gold shimmer in the bottle that doesn't quite translate on to the nail, but the result of that is a much richer, ruby red with all sorts of sparkle in pink and purple and even green depending on the angle you look at it from. It reminds me an awful lot of OPI La Boheme, with a much better formula.
Bloom nail polishes can be purchased in Australia only and retail for $19.95 AUD. They do however have an ongoing special of 2 polishes for $30.00 and can be bought online from Bloom's Website or at David Jones and Myer. I've spotted them in some chemists too so keep an eye out. Unfortunately, they don't sell their polish overseas, so find an Aussie buddy and get them to buy them for you!
Below are swatches of my other Bloom beauties, L to R Jessica Mauboy II, Mena and Bianca.

The Nubar Greens are on sale, and I am getting a set.
A whoooole collection of greens. Seriously, my mind - she is blown.
As per usual, Scrangie has hot swatches for you to drool uponz.
BUT ALSO... I got my hands on something I never thought I'd actually see in person...
Haha that sounds a bit suss hey? I meant a big box.
Hrmm. Not any better.
Let's continue anyway.
Yesterday afternoon when I got home from work, a great big cardboard box from Japan was waiting for me. I was thrilled - I only had this stuff sent via EMS last thursday, that's less than a week. Yeeeeah Boii!
It had a bunch of Gyakuten Saiban goodies, and some old Sega plushies (pics coming soon!) but it also contained some HE polishes that I got EXCEPTIONALLY cheap. I'm still pinching myself here, as this is some hot shit.
Pics? Shall we? We shall.

Left to Right: Versace V2004, Chanel Or Fee, Chanel Vert Sacrilege and LOUIS VUITTON GOLD HOLY SHIT.
I was thrilled to discover that the Versace was different to my other blue one. V2046-W is a deep blue shimmer, while V2004 is a jelly. The Chanels came together. I wasn't fussed on Or Fee in the auction, but now seeing it, I'm glad it came to me. And Vert Sacrilege? Freakin hell, it's Chanel and its green. Where have you been all my life? SOLD.
Louis Vuitton Gold was the biggest surprise. I stumbled on it by accident, and I already had funds in my account. I had to fight a little for it, but ended up closing the deal cheap. Very cheap. Like as in a fraction, tiny teeny minute fraction of what I have seen this sell for on the bay of eviiiil. I've lusted after it for years, and what can I say girls? Never give up.
More pics below.
Firstly, nail polish DOES NOT have a use by date. I had to get that off my chest.
Even if it looks dried up and totally funky, there is such a thing as nail polish thinner (which, while we are on the subject is substantially different to nail polish remover or acetone) and it is still salvageable. Old polishes can be saved, so don't ever throw them out. Your trash might be someone elses treasure. I have a 20 year old OPI which is still good.
Now that's out of the way, I would say that probably 80% (or higher) of my stash is either old or discontinued. I love the thrill of the hunt. And right now, I'm really loving old Ruby Kisses polishes. They had such fantastic colours.

L to R: Green Grass, Dark Teal, Mint Sparkle, Dreamy Green
I WANT THIS YESTERDAY.
That is all.
I ordered last friday night from a new Aussie cosmetics company by the name of Chimera. I got my package yesterday (Monday). That's some super fast shipping right there.

It was packaged beautifully.

I got Blue Star and Green with Envy.
