Who had a shitty Tuesday? C'mon, hands up.
Here's to the rest of the week being a laugh riot.
PARTICIPATE!
OMAHGAWD! Hi. My name is uhhh... Steve. OH! Its monstaw. Very bad monstaw. WOOOO!
Five plus five is schfiftyfiev.
"If I had a nickel, I'd swallow it and tomorrow I can be an ATM machine..."
Note: These videos won't show up in my actual feed, you have to come to the entry itself to see them. I hope you all laugh as hard as I did.
Nope, no Molly Ringwald here. Or John Cryer. I do love that movie though, and for some reason I find Andrew McCarthy's name in that movie hilarious. Blaine. BLAINE. Jeez he even SOUNDS like he would be a douche. I can't see myself EVER meeting and being able to like someone named BLAINE.
I digress! This post is about NAAAILS. Pink nails to be exact. Not only is this month all about Breast Cancer Awareness, but a pink loving friend is going through a difficult time at the moment, so I dedicate this post of pink to her, and all the other pink loving ladies out there.
My nails are Urban Decay Trip today, no pic yet unless you all want a crappy iPhone shot. It is raining too, which means the lighting would be even worse. Since I have no NOTD shot for you, I figured I'd delve into my flickr and post some of my favourite pinks.

A week or so ago, I posted about my birthday and some of the gifts I received. I deliberately left one out, because I was so touched by it that I felt it deserved its own post.

My beautiful sister Melissa and her husband stayed up practically all night the night before she gave this to me, arranging all these amazing photos, each one with a memory attached. When I opened it, I felt absolutely overwhelmed and had to fight back tears (you know, eyeliner and all). I couldn't think of what to say. I still can't think of words to accurately express what this means to me.
My mother, the beautiful woman in the centre of the frame feeding a very tiny me died only 11 months after my birth. I have no memory of her, only the gratitude of the sacrifice that she made so that I could live. The tiny baby attached to all the tubes in the top left corner is me, born almost three months too early. Mum and Dad weren't allowed to take me home until Christmas. The house in the top right corner belonged to my dear departed Grandparents, who took a large part in raising me and changed my life for the better. Some of my fondest memories were created in that house. The three photos in the bottom right corner are from the now demolished theme park Australia's Wonderland. Mel and I both have a strong attachment to that place and miss it terribly. It feels nice to know that someone understands how sad it is that it is gone.
I even find myself giggling at the rudie nudie bathtime baby pics and the terribly tragic photos of myself as an eleven year old. She selected and placed every photo in that frame with love and care, and when I look at it, I can't help but smile.
Not all of my family is hearts and flowers, but I do know that I feel honestly blessed to call Melissa my sister. Not only is she, her husband and three beautiful children (plus the bun in the oven!) my family, but she is also my friend.

I love you Mel. Thanks for being the best big sister I could ask for.

D'awww.
Nixxy from Nixxy's Nails tagged me because I make her smile. Back at ya sister!! You make me laugh so hard sometimes that I would surely snort milk outta my nose if I happen to be drinking it at the time! And also, you are most knowledgeable on the topic of B-Movie Badness and for that you get uber brownie points.
So the cut of this jib is that you post a song that makes you smile and tag some more bloggers that give you the warm & fuzzies. Being a Libran I am absolutely shit at deciding on anything, so I will post a number of songs that make me laugh and are guaranteed to improve my mood.
1. Julie Brown - Cause I'm A Blonde. My goal is to become a vetrinarian because I love children.
2. Dethklok - Murmaider. It's murder. For mermaids. So damn metal. (warning, a bit graphic, but if you watch Metalocalypse you'll know that its part of the over the top hilarity) Laser beams. CHECK.
3. Teen Witch - Top That. You wish you could top that. Posers.
Kay, so I'm going to mention some bloggers who make me smile, but guys don't feel obligated to repost! I just want to share the loves.
First of all, I love Scrangie. She's super kind and goes out of her way to help everyone. Also, she's totally metal and loves Sega. Rock on sistah.
Secondly, Michelle from A Stroke of Color's love for Neons and Konads are enough to make anyone smile. How could you be glum around so much fabulous colour!
Next up, I gotta make mention of the lovely Dr Frankenpolish. Some of her creations are the things that dreams are made of! Someone give this girl a polish line, stat! Her talent for mixing pigments and glitters is unrivalled!
Finally, The Edge Of Sanity is an amazing group of beauty bloggers who are informative, witty and wonderful. Co-ordinated by the lovely Gabrielle, TEoS brings together bloggers from Australia, Europe, Canada and the US to give readers a broad and varied view on all that is nails.
Check these blogs out ladies! You will not be disappointed!

I just added some new links to my Blogroll, and I wanted share with you all. Some are new, some are just new to me. Visit and enjoy!
These lovely ladies commented on my entries and I love to not only hear from my readers, but read your lovely blogs too! If you'd like to be added to my blogroll, leave me a comment and I will oblige!
By the way, I have to mention The Hungry Asian's latest entry for the Lancôme La Collection Lollipop, my goodness!! Pink and red cremes are not really my style but I am BLOWN AWAY by these. Check them out!
Ack! I've got so much new stuff (still) that I haven't touched (MOAR Hard Candy, China Glaze, Lippmann, Chanel Ciel De Nuit) but I'm definitely not short on swatches yet. I broke my nail and got a cut just below my cuticle so I haven't photographed anything new. These were done a few weeks ago. Enjoy, Ogle, Drool etc.

Stargazer - 135
I think I mentioned in a previous post that I have no idea why I avoided Stargazer for so long. I stand by that statement with Stargazer 135 as evidence. Beautiful bluey green teal that's opaque in two coats. And CHEAP! That there's the best part.
Chanel - Samba
The pic doesn't show it well, but Samba has a gorgeous pink to green-gold multichrome. And well, I've turned into a Chanel ho - so it makes sense that I would track this one down. I think this may have been one of my Japanese friends. Yes. Yes it was.
China Glaze - Up All Night
I think this was part of the China Glaze Collection that claimed to be insanely glossy? The one with Liquid Leather? I don't know about it being extra glossy, but it is a REALLY nice blue. Very slight purple leanings too. Nice.
Sinful Colors - HD Nails
This one is a strange egg. It came out smack bang in the middle of a huge Sinful glitter explosion and I wonder why Sinful chose green as the only colour for this finish. Not that I'm complaining. It's beautiful and glowy.
Zoya - Anaka
I don't do pink often, but when I do its usually bright, sparkly or in your face. Anaka falls into all three of those categories, so of course it was love. I really love Zoya formula too. Meow.
Streetwear - Dark
Nobody told me that Dark had glitter! Streetwear Dark is tiny flakes of silver glitter in an inkly purple blue jelly base. Gorgeous! The glitter is so small that it looks quite muted indoors, but once you head outside or under some bright light, the sun will pick up the bling.
Make Up Store - Celebration
This little baby come into my possession after a long trip from Sweden. Its fabulous. THIS is what I wanted OPI At Your Quebec and Call to look like. Its much more pigmented than AYQAC. The green gold glimmer is just fabulous. This is my first Make Up Store polish and I can't wait to try more.
OPI Reflecting Pool
I don't really get the OPI hype and I don't own many of them, but hot diggity I can see why this one is so sought after! *fans self*
Essie - Starry Starry Night
This is indeed beautiful and worthy of the hype, but I really do have so many Night Sky polishes. I will do a comparison post on them one day. Having recently procured Ciel De Nuit, I gave my Starry Starry Night to a new owner who I know will love and cherish it
Sally Hansen - Vixen
Call me crazy, but I think this is my favourite purple. In fact, Sally Hansen Vixen and Misa Dreamy Purple could get in a wicked mad knife fight to determine the purple that owns my heart, and I think Vixen would be the winner. Just. So pretty. Glides on to the nail too. Love.
OPI DS - Fantasy
This is beautiful, I know, but for some reason DS Fantasy just doesn't wow me as much as DS Glamour. I don't have Glamour so maybe I'm delusional. I hope Fantasy doesn't read this and run away from the helmer. I don't mean it Fantasy! I looove youuuu!
Constance Carroll - Empire
I think I have posted about Empire before. This was the ultimate score of my Queensland Holiday in January. Found this and another blue in a weird little closeouts store. I wish I had bought the other bottles that they had. I've never seen another green like this one. It's blackened, yet lit from within. Wow.
That's all for today folks, I'll try and have some new swatches for you next week.

Wow. I don't think I've ever done a post on my Versace polishes before, so I guess it's about time to begin raving. I thought for a bit about what I was going to write here and I think I've changed my mind. You see, Versace's Heat Polish line is discontinued. They pop up on eBay from time to time, but they don't make them anymore. Normally, when a good thing is discontinued, its standard practice on my part to shake my fist and complain, BUT if these polishes weren't dc'd I never would have found them.
My local beauty supply started coughing these bad boys up at $9.95 a bottle about a year ago. I've since decimated that stash and all that's left now is beiges and nanna pinks. $9.95 man! That's cheaper than a Revlon round these parts. The formula is exquisite, as should be expected of a luxury brand. One coat, smooth, shiny and dries incredibly fast. Sticks to the nails like glue and doesnt chip. Wow. I wish there were more colours, but I'm not going to complain. I'm happy to have been able to get the ones I did.

This EMS box... it was HEAVY. Heavy with AWESOME. Man, I'm just gonna skip the chit chat and get to the good stuff. I'll start you off on something light.

I have indeed backdated this, but only because I wanted to photograph the goodies I got for my birthday before I posted it.
Yesireee bob, I turned 27 on the 13th October. I know that probably makes me officially "too old" to laugh at juvenile humour and have hundreds of bottles of nail polish. BUT GUESS WHAT? I don't care.
Tangent. I asked a friend to guess how many polishes she thought I had - she thought for a moment before saying 127.

Err. No.
I told her it was well over 1500 (havent counted in aaaages) and her first reaction was "What? WHY? You'll never use it all!"
Why is that always people's first reaction? Maybe I dont want to use it all. Maybe I like looking at the pretty bottles! Maybe I AM crazy. Maybe you smell. We could go on for hours.
FACT. A Helmer makes your stash look convincingly smaller than it is. Invest in one. Or four.
Birthday. Yes. I remember.

I had lunch with the incomparable King_Hiss at the wharf. He brought me Oporto and Bubble Tea. Much love.

Perhaps I should have been breakdancing. No? Next year. My shoes are nice.

Most people post their funnies at the end of the week. After having a pretty... uhh... eventful end to last week and a not so stellar beginning to this one, I've decided to post a little something today to help us all crack a smile.
These were sent to me by my boyfriend about a week ago, and I still can't stop laughing at them. This first one especially.

More below. Probably NSFW although they may just help you survive it.
