Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Clarins
Chanel Ciel De Nuit & Vert Sacrilege, Louis Vuitton Gold, Clarins 230

I'm by no means a brand snob. My ninety nine cent polishes sit happily with my Rescue Beauty Lounge and Chanel polishes and I love all of them equally. In fact, there are probably a few of my cheap finds that I love more than any of my high end stuff, but a few of them like the ones above are real treasures! It's not about the name on the bottle or the price tag - it's all about the colour!

Chanel Ciel De Nuit
Chanel Ciel De Nuit (aka Night Sky)

If you'd like to lay the blame for the craze over Night Sky polishes, then look no further than Chanel's Ciel De Nuit. I believe this was released in 1998, spawning a whole army of "dupes" and "lookalikes", starting with Essie's much loved Starry Starry Night. The funny thing is, the Essie now sells for ridiculous amounts whenever it pops up on eBay, whereas the Chanel is the original and I was able to get my hands on it pretty cheap. I have a plethora of Night Sky polishes and I do plan on doing a comparison post in the very near future, but I honestly don't think that any of them - even Starry Starry Night trumps Ciel De Nuit.

Chanel Vert Sacrilege
Chanel Vert Sacrilege

Chanel has only ever done three greens to the best of my knowledge (not counting any of the sheer translucide polishes, I think there may be a green one of those), that being Devious (which I do not have), 2009's wildly popular Jade (which I do have), and finally Vert Sacrilege, which I am thrilled to say that I own.

Chanel Vert Sacrilege
Chanel Vert Sacrilege

Vert Sacrilege is a beautiful greyed out green that seems murky with the first coat - I liken it to Zoya's Suvi. But once the second coat is applied, this wonderful glow starts to emanate from the polish. People talk all the time about polishes being lit from within but Vert Sacrilege definitely can back that claim up and then some. The murkiness that actually made me swap away Zoya Suvi disappears with two coats of Vert Sacrilege. It's smooth and rich and three coats (as seen in my swatches) seems to be the sweet spot. Vert Sacrilege isn't as hard to find as some older Chanels, so if you want it bad enough all you have to do is keep your eyes peeled and one will likely turn up.

Louis Vuitton Gold
Louis Vuitton Gold

Louis Vuitton Gold is every bit as luxurious and fabulous as it looks. This polish is simply amazing. For years I tried my hardest to dupe it, and the closest I came was an old L'oreal by the name of Pure Gold. It's close shade wise, but it lacks that dazzle! Actually owning LV Gold felt like a pipe dream for me. But one must never give up.

Louis Vuitton Gold
Louis Vuitton Gold

Louis Vuitton's gold polish was never actually sold at retail. There were 3 different sets in total, Gold & Brown, Red & Pearl and Green also. I'm not sure what colour the Green came with. They were given as gifts to Louis Vuitton's VIC's (very important customers). Now the sets pop up on eBay for around the $200 mark. I was lucky enough to nab the gold all by its lonesome for $14.00. Yep. That's right. Fourteen bucks.

My last polish for this little series of mine needs no introduction.

Clarins 230
Clarins 230

If you are a member of MakeUpAlley's Nail Board, then you won't even need to read the fine print below the above pic to know exactly what this is. It goes by many names, usually related to the bodily functions of Unicorns, Dragons or Fairies, but I know it by its given name. Clarins 230.

Clarins 230
Clarins 230 over purple

This polish is the source of SO much controversy, thousands of MUA posts, eBay auctions selling for $230... craziness. I love my 230. But when it comes down to it, it's just a polish. These are all just polishes. I'd give them all up in a heartbeat to feed my family or to raise money for something essential. To pay $230 for a single nail polish is completely unfathomable to me. I could buy so much with that money. Rather than spend that money on myself, I have found that over the last 12 months, I've spent a lot of money on other people. Gifts, surprises, RAOK's... much more fulfilling than spending $200+ on one polish for yourself.

MUA is a community filled to the brim with caring, wonderful and GENEROUS ladies. When you make friends and help other people you'll find that you won't need to spend that much on your elusive unicorn. It will make its way to you.

Clarins 230
Clarins 230 over purple

My Clarins 230 was a gift. A lovely surprise from an amazing woman who I would help any day of the week. Just as so many of the polishes I have looked at this week have been too. And over the next 12 months, I hope to keep helping ladies find their impossible polishes.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some packages to go and wrap up ;D

Ruby Kisses & Hard Candy
Ruby Kisses Aurora City, Ocean, Khaki. Hard Candy Grinch, Candy Man Dog

I still can't believe that these five are now part of my collection! I believe that Ruby Kisses still make polishes, but with the exception of Blue Pearl, they are nowhere near as interesting as their older discontinued shades. I built a massive collection of Ruby Kisses polishes in the last twelve months - I believe I now have thirty or so, but these three that I have selected are my favourites of the lot.

Ruby Kisses Aurora City
Ruby Kisses Aurora City

Aurora City is a dark greenish teal jelly with loads of sparkly microglitter and was an instant fave from the time I first spotted it on nailgal. I'm really digging jelly polishes at the moment. I find that it really gives the glitter so much dimension as it peeks through the layers of colours. I picked this one up relatively cheap, but I have not seen it since. I believe there is also a similar blue called Black Hole.

Ruby Kisses Ocean
Ruby Kisses Ocean

With a name like Ocean, you'd honestly be expecting a deep, velvety blue. But nope. Ocean is green! Another one that I had lusted after since my pre NB days - this one actually came to me as a complete surprise. I had missed a rather cheap Buy It Now auction, which I was rather annoyed about. I knew the person that had won already had this polish. I didn't. But all that changed when a package lot that I had bought arrived at home for me. I didn't realise that the lot had included Ocean after all. Yay me!

Ruby Kisses Khaki
Ruby Kisses Khaki

Khaki is just amazing. It's every bit as lovely as I hoped it would be. I keep forgetting how much I love this polish until I see this photo. The formula is amazing, the shade is perfect. It's glossy and beautiful. My goodness if you don't have this, you are missing out! I think there may still be some floating around eBay quite cheap if you look hard enough. GO!! Run run run!!!

Hard Candy: Candy Man Dog
Hard Candy: Candy Man Dog

I was lucky enough to find a whole heap of old Hard Candy polishes this year, including five of the seven Candy Man polishes - Hard Candy's line for men. But of all five, Dog would be my hands down favourite. To me it looks like Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie's evil twin. It's purple with a blue flash like La Scrange, but both the base and the blue flash are darker. Dog also sometimes picks up a little green.

Hard Candy Grinch
Hard Candy Grinch

And last, but most certainly not least, is my favourite of the two Hard Candy Seasonal Glitters that I obtained this year. Ladies and Gentlemen... I give you GRINCH! I was convinced from just looking at the bottles that this and the Streetwear polish of the same name were pretty much identical, but now I can see that isn't the case at all. The glitter in HC's Grinch is much larger and a more vibrant green. I still can't pick a favourite though! I like them both! I believe Grinch was released in 1996 along with it's other Christmas friends Holiday Homicide, Icky Eggnog, Jingle Balls, Seasonal Psychosis, Sexy Santa, XXXmas and Gangsta Booty (which is the other that I have).

I just noticed while researching this entry that Geocities has closed! And the old Hard Candy reference guide has disappeared! Perhaps in the new year I should work on something similar to my Streetwear page, but for Hard Candy. It would be a bit of work, but I welcome the challenge!

Revlon Streetwear
L to R: Grinch, Monster Mash, Costume Party, Oct 31st

I have a slight obsession with Revlon's Streetwear polishes. I can't really say what it is about them that grabs my attention. Maybe it's the fact that they are discontinued and therefore hard to find. Maybe it's the awesome and varied colours that are available and the insanely unique glitters. Maybe it's the fact that uncovering a new one is like finding a piece of a puzzle. Despite my best efforts at documenting them with my Streetwear Reference Guide, I still have no idea how many more might be out there that I've never even heard of.

Streetwear polishes first appeared in 1996 as Revlon's attempt to keep up with edgy young cosmetics companies like Hard Candy and Urban Decay. The line was aimed at a younger demographic, moving away from frosty florals and cute corals and instead offering up grittier fashion forward shades with names like Burnt, Toad and Stain. The smaller companies didn't take to kindly to the Revlon Corporation muscling in on their turf, and Urban Decay even attempted to sue the cosmetics giant. I have never actually discovered the outcome of that lawsuit, but I'd bet my butt it was settled out of court.

But enough of the history lesson - time to take a look at four of the Streetwears I picked out of the hundred I amassed this year.

Revlon Streetwear Monster Mash
Revlon Streetwear Monster Mash

Monster Mash was the first of these four to make its way to me this year - I actually managed to snap it up for $4.99 Buy it Now on eBay. To say I was thrilled was an understatement. This dense lime green glitter was part of a Halloween Collection with two others I also own, Oct 31st and Costume Party.

Revlon Streetwear Costume Party
Revlon Streetwear Costume Party

This is a terrible swatch of an amazing colour. My Costume Party is in need of a little thinning and I really should have done that before swatching. Costume Party is made up of fuchsia micro glitter and sparse silver bar glitter. Much like Sally Hansen Joyful, I'm not sure whether the bar glitter started out fuchsia and bled away to silver over the years or whether it was silver from the beginning. This polish (along with the next one too) actually came from South Africa!

Revlon Streetwear Oct 31st
Revlon Streetwear Oct 31st

Oct 31st was one of those polishes that I had drooled over for years and never thought I would see. I practically leapt for joy when the email from the seller in South Africa arrived saying she would ship to me. I got it for a steal - along with two bottles of Costume Party and three Monster Mash! All of which made fabulous gifts for other Streetwear collecting friends. Oct 31st is superfine black (!) glitter with orange circle and bar glitter thoughout. Opaque in three coats, this baby is a winner. I really love how Revlon weren't afraid to use black glitter, no one seems to want to go there anymore!

Revlon Streetwear Grinch
Revlon Streetwear Grinch

Finally, I think this last one might be my favourite. A friend of mine came across a buttload of Streetwears in a local beauty supply store - and while there is a never ending bevy of Dijon and Burnt, colours like this one are few and far between. She gifted it to me, because I had helped her out with an Australian purchase. I never expected anything in return for helping her, but I think that's what makes my Grinch all the more special. Grinch is packed full of christmassy green glitter and is opaque in just two coats. I believe that Rudolph is from the same seasonal collection, but I don't have that one yet! That'll be on the wish list for 2010!

My Streetwear collection has exploded out from somewhere in the vicinity of 20 at the beginning of the year to 120 at last count! I would like to thank all the lovely girls who have helped me reach that number, and I also wanted to thank all the ladies who have sent me pictures of their collection to help me with my reference guide. I look forward to filling more blanks next year!

Essie, Maybelline, OPI
L to R: Essie Dominica Green, Essie Barbuda Banana, Maybelline Shooting Stars, OPI La Boheme

Essie - Dominica Green

Essie Dominica Green

Unfortunately for me, I fell in love with Dominica Green before I had any idea about the controversy surrounding the shade - and I'm not going to go into it here - all it takes is a quick flick through google to get the lowdown on the ho down. I decided that Dominica Green was the perfect green and I searched high and low for something that could dupe it. I still haven't found anything that has come even remotely close. Luckily for me it was offered to me for a purchase price far less than the $50 asking price on eBay. I jumped on it, and I don't regret it for a second.

Essie Dominica Green Essie Dominica Green

I took so many photos of it that it probably could use its own post. In fact, I may have actually given Dominica Green its own post back when I got it! Essie's constant barrage of nudes, sheer pinks and reds completely baffles me when I look at this bottle. How could they have once made something so amazing, yet now consistently release shades so boring?

Essie Dominica Green

But Dominica Green didn't make its way to me alone...

Essie Barbuda Banana
Essie Barbuda Banana

Oh how I love Essie Barbuda Banana. But as you can plainly see, it doesn't love me that much. I'm cool toned and white as a ghost, but for some ungodly reason, BB brings out a terrible redness in my skin. Barbuda Banana is another long discontinued, highly sought after Essie. But a close dupe is Maybelline's Banana Puddin', which has been showing up fairly cheap lately on eBay UK.

Maybelline Shooting Stars

Speaking of Maybelline, I got my hands on Shooting Stars!! I actually had two - picked up from an eBay auction. I sent the second on to a new home, but I love this one so much now I might need to scope for a backup!

Maybelline Shooting Stars

Old Maybelline's (especially the glitter variety) are a big weakness for me and I fell in love with Shooting Stars the moment I saw it. Being so old I didn't think I would ever see one, but then the Dollar Tree's started paying out and well... the rest is history. The fine blue strip glitter mixed with the dense holo is simply amazing. The clear base may have yellowed a little with age, but I think it makes the polish even more interesting, adding a gold tinge on certain angles.

And last but certainly not least... that inconspicuous looking OPI mini right there in my first pic is none other than La Boheme!! This one was a late entry into this years "lemmings fulfilled" category, arriving last week with my Secret Santa package from a lovely MUA-er.

OPI La Boheme

My pictures do this beautiful polish absolutely no justice. It also picks up a gorgeous purple on certain angles and moves right up the spectrum to a coppery gold. I'm not a big OPI gal, but this shade is simply MUST OWN. And I'm so glad I do now own it!

OPI La Boheme

If you can't get your hands on La Boheme, Sally Hansen's Prisms Ruby Emerald is quite close, but nothing beats the real deal.

China Glaze
L to R: Jumpin' Jupiter, Moon over Miami, Aurora Borealis, It's 5 o'clock Somewhere

I got my hands on a fair few rare China Glaze's this year too! Up until recently with China Glaze's glitter explosion, besides Ruby Pumps and Emerald Sparkle, these babies were the be all and end all of China Glaze Glitter. I really can't say how old they are (anyone? Bueller?) but pre 2000 is my guess. The old style bottle (which you can see has a shorter cap next to "It's 5 o'clock Somewhere") and old China Glaze logo are a good indication that these are fairly old.

China Glaze
L to R: Over Black: Aurora Borealis, Jumpin' Jupiter, Moon over Miami. Plain white: Aurora Borealis, Jumpin' Jupiter, Moon over Miami

The collection consisted of 6 glitters made up of bar glitters in clear or lightly tinted bases. If you click the pic above you can see the glitter in more detail. Oddly, I noticed that Moon over Miami had a slightly speckled base. I'm not sure whether this is due to age or not. Out of the three not pictured above, Cherry Bomb and Sunburst also have small round glitter as well as the bar glitter seen in the rest of the collection.

China Glaze - It's 5 o'clock Somewhere

China Glaze

*insert dreamy sigh here*

When I first started full on polish collecting and stalking eBay, I remember seeing I5OCS pretty much everywhere for a lovely buy it now price of $4.99. I guess it must have been new at the time, but the tragedy of the whole thing is the fact that China Glaze promo pics for this colour did it absolutely no justice! I passed on it, and by the time I had joined the nail board and seen a proper swatch, the stock that had been everywhere on eBay was long gone.

Early in the year the opportunity arose to obtain it via swap, and I was swaplifted. But karma has a way of looking after those who help others and I found that after I had helped a few ladies find their impossible dream polishes, a dear, wonderful friend sent I5OCS to me with a little tag around the bottle that simply said: "Because I can..." I was so touched that I made sure I could return the favour. And "Because I can" also, she has now provided a very loving home for my Essie Starry Starry Night.

China Glaze

I guess there is a lesson to be learned here as well. There's no point in shelling out ridiculous amounts of cash for a bottle of nail polish. Help other people. Make friends. Do good things and anything your heart desires will make its way into your life. And I'm not talking about nail polish either!

Sally Hansen
L to R: Salon Emerald Ring, Hard As Nails Mistletoe, Hard As Nails Gala, Hard As Nails Party Hat, Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Groovy Green

If you frequent the MUA nail board, then no doubt you have heard the term "Sally Hansen, that ho!" You see, we all have a love/hate relationship with Ms Hansen. We love the fact that she makes such amazing lacquers, but we hate the fact that she constantly makes them a bitch to find!

Sally Hansen Salon - Emerald Ring

Sally Hansen Emerald Ring

Emerald Ring from Sally Hansen's Salon line was one that I never thought I would see in person. Like pretty much everyone else on the nail board, I salivated over it when news first broke about its release along with Take a Tourmaline (Red) and Heartsapphire (Blue). I stalked eBay and hoped they would show up somewhere that I could buy one. The girls who ended up with them reported seeing them in Jersey and New York if I remember correctly. We sat patiently waiting for them to spread across the rest of the US, but no one else actually ever saw them. The next collection arrived and Sally Hansen's jewel toned Salons were promptly forgotten. Although not by me.

Sally Hansen Jewel Salons
L to R: Emerald Ring, Take a Tourmaline, Heartsapphire

Sally Hansen Jewel Salons
L to R: Take a Tourmaline, Heartsapphire, Emerald Ring

I now own all three of the "Jewel" Salon's, and that wouldn't have been possible without the gift of Emerald Ring from another lovely MUA-er who knows I love her. You know who you are doll. *hugs*

So lesson number one is as follows; SALLY HANSEN IS A HO BECAUSE: She makes ridiculously beautiful shades like these and somehow manages to only release them in one area.

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Celebration" Glitters

Sally Hansen Celebration Glitters
L to R: Gala, Joyful, Pink Champagne, Party Hat, Mistletoe

I was lucky enough to obtain three of these five in the last twelve months. Two of them made their way to me through generous swapping experiences and the third was gifted to me by another lovely friend. Just looking at these glitters in the bottle makes me smile. The colour coded brush handles, the vibrantly coloured glitters, the mix of bar glitters and regular glitter... these do make me want to celebrate!

I have no idea at all what year these were made, but my rough estimate is around 1998. I think there may be ten different colours all up. Missing from this pic, but owned by me is a purple/green mix named Angel. I know of a red named "Kiss" and a mixture of green and red with some sort of Christmas name. As for the others, well that's anyone's guess. But I sure hope to find out! I'll be on the lookout for any glitters starting with the code 4354.

I've painted them on a nail wheel over black and on white so you can see what they look like on their own or layered. Click the pictures for super huge versions so you can see the detail of the glitter.

Sally Hansen Celebration Glitters
L to R: Over Black - Party Hat, Gala, Pink Champagne, Joyful, Mistletoe. On plain white - Party Hat, Gala, Pink Champagne, Joyful, Mistletoe

As you can see (especially in the large pic) all of the colours seem to have a tinge of their colour in the base - I'm not sure whether this was intended or whether the glitter is bleeding slighty due to age. The odd one out here is Joyful. It's colour base is a dark pink - and the glitter is actually silver. Who knows though? Perhaps Joyful started out in a clear base and bled worse than the rest of them.

This old Hard As Nails line is fabulous and I am an absolute sucker for the colour coded brushes. I have a huge amount of old Sally Hansens like these but from different collections and I hope to share them with you over the coming months. Sadly, they are long discontinued.

So therein lies lesson number 2; SALLY HANSEN IS A HO BECAUSE: She used to make amazing glitters and colour coded brushes, but alas, these have been discontinued for a long time.

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear - Groovy Green

Sally Hansen Groovy Green

This one is so rare that I actually convinced myself for a while that it didn't exist. Pre MUA, I happened upon a pic of it on nailgal. I searched high and low for any trace of it on the internet other than this one pic - I couldn't find a thing. I started to think that maybe the picture owner had frankened it, or mislabelled the pic.

What I didn't realise was that this was one of Sally's infamous Canadian Exclusives. She seems to release the most amazing collections in Canada for some reason. I have bought polishes from the Passport to The Mediterranean, Milan, Morocco and Harajuku collections. This year I bought polishes from Project Runway. Groovy Green was from a very old collection, probably about three years ago. An amazing gal I know tracked one down for me and sent it across the seas. And I'm so thrilled she did. Now I'm hoping to find Saturday Night Fever from the same collection. Fingers crossed for next year!

Which brings us to lesson three; SALLY HANSEN IS A HO BECAUSE: Two words. Canadian Exclusive. Why do you make it so hard to love you, Sally!? WHHHHHYYYY??

It's getting close to the end of the year now, so I had a look through my flickr at some of the polishes I have bought this year. I couldn't believe how many of them I now have that I thought I would never own!

These have all come to me through various means - eBay, online stores, but a vast majority of these have made their way to me through the generosity of the wonderful friends I have made through MUA.

For the next week, I'm going to take a closer look at this pile o' loot so stay tuned if you want to get a closer look at some pretty rare stuff!

Cause you're retinas are in for a beating they won't forget!

BYS Neons
L to R: Neon Fires, The Right Bright, Fatal Attraction, In Da Club, Get Ink Make It Pink

How adorable are these guys? All bright and sunny and cheery!? This is BYS's latest collection sent to me by the most excellent Director David (@FashionTwitts on Twitter) from Fashion Addict. I can't get over how bright they are! Awesome!

BYS Get Ink Make It Pink
BYS Get Ink Make It Pink

Get Ink, Make It Pink is an explosion super hot pinkness on your nails. It was hard to photograph (as neons usually are) and it actually is a whole lot brighter than my photos depict! The formula was great - this swatch is only two coats, which is fab for a neon as those are usually a lot less pigmented.

BYS In Da Club
BYS In Da Club

While I'm not a fan of the song that this polish shares its name with, I am a fan of this shade! In Da Club is a mid range blue neon, something that you don't normally see in neon ranges. Most companies tend to go for light blues like Color Club All In or dark blues like Misa's Pour Me Something Tall and Strong. This shade of blue seems quite unique to me. The formula was a little more jellyish than Get Ink, but I think the three coats was well worth it!

BYS Fatal Attraction
BYS Fatal Attraction

Neon greens are always tricky business - no matter what you do there is always going to be some VNL (visible nail line) if you don't layer. But that being said, I love this shade! It almost glows on the nail and it's jellyish properties give it a squishy, almost edible look! Alien Slime! So many neon greens that I have tried have been streaky messes that refused to dry, but I'm happy to say that I had no such problem with Fatal Attraction. This was four coats - but if I had layered over a white I could have got away with two.

BYS The Right Bright
BYS The Right Bright

The Right Bright is another interesting shade choice for yellow. Most neon collections would opt for a greenish highlighter neon yellow, but I think this darker yellow is so much more appealing. As you can see, it's still a little on the sheer side like Fatal Attraction, but this was three coats rather than the four that I used for the green. I like it. It's sunny and happy and fits the collection well. It reminds me of those fluffy baby chickens that they attach to marshmallow eggs at easter.

BYS Neon Fires
BYS Neon Fires

I love the name of this polish! Neon Fires is a full on fluoro orange. In terms of formula and consistency it is much like Get Ink, Make It Pink and this swatch was two coats. I think this one would have to be my favourite of the collection. I do love a good bright orange, and Neon Fires seems to fit the bill nicely (with an totally badass name). If I started a band today, I'd call it Neon Fires.

Overall, I'd say I'm pretty impressed with BYS's latest polishes. But did you know that they also have neon eyeliners and neon eye pencils that match these polishes! Now you do! How badass is that? I can't wait to have a decent play with the pencils and see what sort of funky looks I can come up with. I'll even see if I can find some blacklight to make things really interesting!

Now just before I go, I really have to rave about Fashion Addict. I had the most wonderful customer service experience today - I emailed Director David looking for some polishes and within half an hour not only had a received a response, but my credit card had been charged and my new goodies ready to come to their new home. Seriously. I sent Bloom an email on Sunday and I still haven't heard back from them, and they charge four times the amount per polish than what it costs me for a BYS from Fashion Addict!

If you're within Australia and you're looking for Neon Nail Polish, then you really can't go further than Fashion Addict. There's free express post on every order until Christmas!

GLITTER.

Loads of shiny, crazy ass, multicoloured glitter.

A lovely friend of mine from Sweden sent me a couple of Face Stockholm polishes (along with the grooviest of movie monster bandaids) and I just couldn't resist layering this one over the top of my existing Jordana Purple Rain Mani.

Face Shop 86
Face Shop 86

I love it! It's so shiny and full of colour! If there's one thing I hate, it's a weak glitter. You know those ones you buy that look amazing in the bottle, but when you brush it on the nail it's just clear with a few glitter specks? I freaking hate that. Luckily with Face Stockholm 86, that is SO Not the case.

Face Stockholm 86
Face Stockholm 86

What you're looking at there is 2 coat coverage! How awesome is that?! The only other glitter I own with 2 coat coverage is Rescue Beauty Lounge's Locavore (by the way, RBL had their big 50% off sale today! Guess who has two thumbs and now owns Frugalista, Look Rich Be Cheap and Orbis Non Sufficit? *points to self* This guy... er gal). But yes! 2 coat coverage! Supreme awesomeness!

EXTREME CLOSE UP!

EXTREME CLOSE UP!
WHOOAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

EXTREME CLOSE UP!
WHOOAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

So if you're in Sweden, run to the Face Stockholm store and ask them where they keep the total hotness. If you aren't in Sweden, well I suppose I'll let you drool over my pics a little longer. But just so you know, I am NOT responsible from any keyboard malfunctions due to excessive moisture.

OH! And before I forget, everyone go and watch Nixxy's Weekend Funnies. Seriously, embarassing pop songs = SO MUCH WIN. You might want to follow that up with Nixxy Posts Even MORE Win on Sunday.

It's true.

Jordana Purple Rain is everything I ever wanted in a purple. I remember spending years searching for the perfect purple - I thought I had found it when I found Misa Dreamy Purple. I was wrong. I thought I had hit the jackpot again when I found Versace 2045. But it wasn't quite right.

But then Jordana Purple Rain came into my life. And the angels sang etc etc. The sun was shining, the birds singing, the fridge was stocked with Tim Tams... you know, all the stuff that makes life wonderful. But enough blabbing. You wan't to see my $0.99 beauty don't you?

Jordana Purple Rain
Jordana Purple Rain

I've bought Jordana's in the past and they have been really hit and miss. I've had some glitters that were too sparse and shimmers that were too frosty or sheer, but I've also had luck with a great blue, pink and silver glitter. But Purple Rain? Holy moly if this was my first Jordana I would have been sold on the brand totally and therefore headed for heartbreaksville. Someone got EVERYTHING right with this one. Shade, pigmentation, formula. It's all gravy. Whoever is behind this masterpiece deserves a raise, a promotion, a sash, a round of applause, a bouquet and a shirt that says "I'm so Rad."

Jordana Purple Rain
Jordana Purple Rain

There's a bunch of these on eBay right now in the 0.99 to $2.00 mark, and honestly, this little baby is worth every penny! What are you still doing here? Go buy one three* now!

*Backups are TOTALLY necessary and encouraged.
