I hope so too, Edgeworth. Not really, but anyway...

It feels like FURRREVAH since I finished Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, aka "I'm no Phoenix but you'll play the game anyway because Phoenix keeps poppin in" and now finally I have been able to pre-order Ace Attorney Investgations, translated into English from Play-Asia
Also worth mentioning, it's SO damn cheap. New DS games retail around the $69.95 AUD mark over here (some places are still asking that much for Phoenix) and after shipping and the $ conversion, AAI is going to set me back a mere $40 bucks or so.
Excuse me sir, I'll take ten.
Capcom will be showing off Investigations at San Diego Comic Con this year, at their panel on July 23rd, and Play Asia lists the release date as January 2010 however some UK games sites have shipping dates as early as November this year. I'll bet it will be out before Christmas.
Heaps of recurring characters too, although some not in the capacity one might hope for.

I WANT THIS YESTERDAY.
That is all.
Yeah yeah, I know. Every post in the blog is either nail polish or Ace Attorney.
That's where my head (and wallet) is at, haha deal with it.
We're only a little over a week away from the release of Gyakuten Kenji in Japan on May 29, and already, the merch is starting to fly. And I'm buyin it all up like the crazed lunatic I am.
I have so much crap.
Ohh but I love it.
E-Capcom have offered a whole bunch of merchandise for sale to co-incide with the new Ace Attorney chapter, but the most awesome of all would have to be Miles Edgeworth's (Reiji Mitsurugi) teacup.
Seriously. WTF? I must own this.

You want more? I gots heaps more. Click the link below.

You're probably wondering what you're looking at.
Look harder.
Okay. I'll give you a hint.
TOP RIGHT CORNER!
Gyakuten Kenji is most definitely being translated into English as Ace Attorney: Investigations. Huzzah! This pic was taken at Captivate '09 in Europe a couple of weeks back, and posted on Court Records. GK will be out in a few weeks in Japan, but apparently we have to wait until US Winter (around Christmas) to see a translated version.
Also, the game won't have enough localisation work done in time for E3 this year, but Capcom plan to be able to pimp their wares at Comic-Con in July. Looking forward to that!
While we're on the topic of collections of stuff, I forgot to mention my love of plushes from Japanese UFO catcher machines. I was poking through Yahoo Japan the other day and I came across these:

I didn't buy them, and now I'm hoping that they weren't some sort of limited promo item, because I will kick myself. I can't find any other info on them anywhere and they aren't being sold by any of the usual suspects (Play Asia, NCSX).
Although, I'm pretty thrilled to have won a bunch of old Sega plushes from YJ. I'll take pics of them when they arrive. But there are two more of these included!

Unfortunately, I wasn't willing to relinquish my firstborn to pay for a few NiGHTS plushes that popped up recently. But more about those later!
Demo should be up on April 30...that's only two more sleeps!
Now now they just need to make a third installment, and have Phoenix Wright (Capcom) in it attacking people with "Super Objections" or something in that vein and my life will be freaking complete.
Edit. Demo up for US only, but if you know how to rort the system you can get it anyway. Played the demo (its multiplayer only) and the verdict is: AWESOME! But I suck badly and need practice!
Ahh Amiga, how I loved thee. When I was younger, my brothers and I had the most bitchin-est Commodore Amiga known to man. The keyboard and monitor were in perfect working order, it three external disk drives, two working mice (ZOMG!
), four joysticks and an absolute buttload of games. One of our staples involved tournaments of...

You know what, I can't even remember the basic storyline of this game, and I'm not about to go read some game reviewer's perspective on it just to refresh my memory. That would ruin my fun, and all anyone needs to know is that I loved the crap out of this game, and played it so much it consumed my nineteen year old life.

Finally, some info.
I've had this pre-ordered since last August and it's just been pushed back, then pushed back and then pushed back some more. I was starting to think it was never going to come at all, but now the company that has created this statue, First4Figures is saying that it will be shipping in May, 2009. It's eight months late, but whatevs.
Designed by artist Lu Bin, this awesome looking old skool Sonic Statue is 12" high and will retail for $99.99 if and when it ever ships. First4Figures have not revealed the number produced yet, but say that it will be limited and that Sonic will be the first in a series. I'd lay money on the fact that Tails and Knuckles will be next.
It's available from Play Asia, BBTS or Entertainment Earth.
Also from First4Figures are smaller, but equally cool Sonic figures.

Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are 4-5 inches in height and retail for $14.99 each, although Play Asia has them for $12.99 with discounts for buying the set. They are in stock at BBTS, but not available yet from Play Asia. I just got an email this morning saying they would ship next month.
