This Is What Happens When You Haphazardly Throw A Post Together

Wow. What a week! Unfortunately it was all work, work, work and hardly any play though so once again, I arrive (almost) empty handed. I was going to wait until I had some swatches again to post, but I found a whole heap of haul pics on my camera, and even got around to setting up my light box again to take pics of the new stuff. So well… here we are.

My nails have grown back to a respectable level so hopefully I won’t break them again and I’ll be able to swatch more stuff over the weekend. I have a desk full of polishes that I just can’t wait to pack back into the helmers. I’ve been on a bit of a cleaning binge lately. But yes! The photos! The hauls! let us reminisce in my past spending as I am now on a pre UK trip no buy…

A couple of months ago, I took a trip to the markets with the lovely Em & Mich and we picked up some rather glorious bargains. I think at the end of the day I came home with almost 30 polishes (not counting the Versace’s I bought to gift and sell), a few other makeup items, a bag, a dress, a jacket and a hat shaped like a polar bears head! It was an interesting day to say the least.

I scored Benefit Bad Gal Blue Mascara for only $3!! I should have picked up a couple more. This is the most vibrant, awesome bright blue. Once I remember to tidy my eyebrows, I’ll totally take pics for you all.

We found a couple of great stalls with a whole bunch of unlabelled polishes. There’s Korean writing on all the bottles so I assume that’s where they are from. Some only have numbers, whereas others have no info at all. The bottles however, are nothing short of fabulous. I am pretty sure the last one in the second photo is a total dupe for Color Club Wild & Willing, and the first one looks like a less green version of Kleancolor Firework. One thing about these though is THEY STINK. Holy moly I am not sure what chemicals they put in these polishes, but man they’ll burn your nose hairs off! But check out the colour in the second last one!

As I mentioned earlier, I am on a no-buy. I sit at a desk all day, so I am pretty much hopeless at not spending anything at all. At best, a no-buy only ever translates to a low-buy. But I have to say, that the haul for the last fortnight is uncharacteristically small for me. I mean I only bought four of the five polishes below, the Aragon Suede was paid for months ago and the Across The Universe (!!!) was a gift. I think I am restraining myself rather well!

The Cheap Smells order that I bought recently and mentioned in this post also showed this week, and although I haven’t had a chance to try most of it, I am thrilled with the price, shipping, speed and quality of everything I ordered. I will DEFINITELY haul from them again when my spending isn’t so restricted.

Missing from that pic (because it went straught in my purse) is L’Oreal Glam Shine Diamante Gloss in Ruby Carat. I also put my new Clarins Crystal Lip Balm in the pic too. It’s amazing I am scared to use it because I will destroy the prettiness of it. It looks like jelly!

I went out shopping on the weekend, (I know, I KNOW) but I behaved really well and only bought stuff I needed for my trip. Well… except for these super cool accessories from Equip. The Equip clearance rack is a thing of beauty. The actual tags on all this stuff broke the $60 mark. I snagged all of it for $22. I’m wearing the little black bow earrings today.

Finally, here’s a sneak peek at two of the brand new Glitter Gal polishes that I will be swatching as soon as I have time. You gals are gonna love them!
