I should have called this post “If You Don’t Have China Glaze Cowgirl Up What Are You Doing With Your Life” or “I Am So Flipping Ashamed It Took Me This Long To Buy Cowgirl Up” because those feels are accurate. It is amazing, it is sensational. It is probably one of my new favourite polishes. What are you babbling about Kaz? LET ME SHOW YOU.
I included a link to a super huge shot so you can click it and bask in the awesome complexity of that shimmer (please to ignore gank cuticles kthanx). It’s perfection. It has gorgeous teeny tiny blue and red sparkles. I mean, I always knew this was nice but I figured it was too close to China Glaze Stella to own both. THIS IS WAY WAY WAY PRETTIER THAN STELLA AND I LOVE STELLA.
Cowgirl Up is from the Fall 2008 Rodeo Diva collection, which as a whole is really up there with my favourites when we are talking collections from China Glaze. Wagon Trail, Gussied Up Green and Rodeo Fanatic are still among my favourite China Glazes. Note to self – Check stash for Branding Iron!
I picked this up for six bucks on my trip to Pro Nail last weekend. I really feel like I need to go back there for another dig (and to potentially grab Branding Iron if I don’t have it already, I really need to stay on top of my stash list!). I am pretty sure this collection is still available from China Glaze and you can probably pick up Cowgirl Up pretty cheap on eBay. Long story short, if you don’t have it – YOU NEED IT.
Some of you might recall my super awesome Avon Top Coat from my last post. I decided to layer it over the top of Cowgirl Up just to see what it looked like. And guess what? IT LOOKS FREAKING AMAZING.
This top coat is pretty Clarins 230 esque if you are looking for a cheap alternative. And by cheap I mean cheaper. Because bottles of this top coat are in the $40 range on eBay.
But look at that sparkle! WORTH IT.
