Just in case you’re interested, I’m wearing Pretty Serious CGA on my nails today. It’s different. It’s pretty. I wore it to a meeting this morning. But I always, ALWAYS, find myself returning to the green polishes. I’m pretty sure that at least 50% of my stash is green shades. Here’s three that you probably haven’t seen yet (because I only just swatched them recently). OVEREXPLAINING STUFF, YEAH!
Dare to Wear Poison Ivy
First up is Dare to Wear Poison Ivy. Before Claire’s got in the biz of Mood Polish, Dare to Wear was one of the only companies doing the colour change thing. Not so much these days, but as you can tell from the pic above, they aren’t too bad at doing the regular colour thing too. I have a handful of pretty cool Dare to Wear polishes, but I think this one might be my favourite. It’s cured my long time lemming for Dare to Wear Frog Closure (what does that even mean? Is it the coat clasp thingy? Also, so rare I can no longer find a pic) and yes, that is a very slight blue duochrome that you spy around the edges. Fantastico!
CM Without Compassion
Can I just blub about how beautiful this polish is for a minute? blubblubblubblub
Okay, I’m good. *wipes tears* I know my camera makes CM Without Compassion appear more blue than green, but I assure you it’s the most amazing blue green with golden shimmer that I have EVER seen. You know sometimes when you put a polish on your nails that you just sigh because it’s so beautiful? I had one of these moments with Without Compassion. I’m enamored with it. I’m transfixed. I’m going to ask it on a date. Hopefully it says yes.
Finally, did someone say glass fleck? Someone out there must have because HOLY BALLS THIS IS AMAZING. Petites Utopia is like China Glaze Watermelon Rind on steroids. Super sparkly dense glass fleck in a peacock green base. It’s even got a slight duochrome. Sure, it’s not completely opaque, but what’s a little VNL amongst friends?
Pretty sure that Poison Ivy is discontinued, but I know I bought Without Compassion on eBay fairly recently. Not sure about Utopia, but the Petites line is still around, right? Look at me – a veritable fountain of misinformation today. Point is, grab any or all of these if you can. Disappointed, you will not be.
Until tomorrow my lovely ladies!
